Founder of Small Steps Project
Amy is the CEO and founder of Small Steps Project. She set up the charity almost a decade ago, after making the film ‘Small Steps’, which documented her first ever shoe distribution, to over 1000 people, on the biggest rubbish dump in Cambodia.
Since then she has distributed shoes and aid on rubbish dumps and landfill sites across the world to thousands of children and heir families. As Small Steps Project has grown into a charity, so too has it’s service delivery, which now includes nurseries, outreach projects and centres, which support children to take small steps off the dump sites and into education.
Much of the work delivered is funded by the Celebrity Shoe Auction, which was created by Amy, and sees some of the most famous celebrities in the world take part, to raise both money and awareness for children that survive on landfill.
