Author, Curator and Broadcaster
James Sherwood is the author of five Thames & Hudson style titles: Savile Row (2010), Fashion at Royal Ascot (2011), The Perfect Gentleman (2012), James Sherwood's Discriminating Guide to London (2016) and Jewelry for Gentlemen (2018).
He curated the archive at No 1 Savile Row for Gieves & Hawkes, the Savoy Museum and for the past ten years has been overseeing the restoration of the archives of Henry Poole & Co: founding father of Savile Row. James has edited the Louis Vuitton Guide to London for over a decade including 2018 and was a founding editor of The Rake.
James has written for every British broadsheet in a thirty-year career as a fashion journalist. James was the BBC's fashion critic at Royal Ascot and is currently contributing to historic documentaries for UKTV and the BBC. He is currently working on a Thames & Hudson book about Henry Poole & Co.
